Thank you for your interest in the Pearson Prize!
The Pearson Prize is meant to identify students who are giving back to the college community and to help them continue their service while in school. Students that attend an accredited community college, undergraduate school, or university in the United States, who have completed at least one year of studies prior to the start of the application, and who are leaders in their community should consider applying.
To learn more about the Pearson Prize and see videos made by current Fellows, visit the Pearson Prize website. Be sure to check out the eligibility requirements and FAQ for detailed application information.
The 2013 Pearson Prize Application is now CLOSED
The deadline to submit an application (Steps 1 through 3) was 11:59PM Eastern Time, April 19, 2013. The deadline for the reference letter is April 30, 2013. You will be notified about the status of your application by June 3, 2013.
If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be asked to create a short personal video for the next round of consideration. This video will be added to your overall application, to be considered equally with the other aspects of your submission. Because students have varying experience with video editing and unequal access to technology, the Pearson Prize Selection Committee does not evaluate the production quality of the video submissions. The videos are requested simply as a way to get to know applicants better.
Good luck!
